There is a number of ways in which agencies can develop their skills and knowledge in service coordination.
Service Coordination Online Learning Module
The Victorian Department of Health and the Victoria Primary Care Partnerships developed the Service Coordination On-line Learning Module to support the practice of Service Coordination in Victoria.
Organisations are encouraged to use this module to orientate staff to Service Coordination practice within their organisation and use it for professional development for existing staff. This course will take about one hour to complete and is designed to be completed at learner’s own pace and may be done over several sessions.
The Service Coordination Online Learning Module is available on the Department of Health website.
Course in Service Coordination
A Course in Service Coordination has been approved by the Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority and is a state accredited course. It may be delivered by Registered Training Organisations as an elective unit for most Community Services Training Package qualifications or a stand alone course.
HealthWest support
HealthWest offers support and tailored training, at varying levels, around implementation of Service Coordination practice and principles.
If your agency is interested in Service Coordination training please contact Agnieszka Kleparska, Service Coordination Project Officer, on 9017 5843 or email agnieszka.kleparska@healthwest.org.au
